Eid Announcement | Ahlebait TV
Ahlebait TV would like to announce that Muqallid or follower of Ayatullah Khoi is going to celebrate Eid on Friday and the follower of Ayatullah Sistani and Ayatullah Khamnai is going to make Eid Celebrations on Saturday. Eid ul-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr), often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiṭr means "conclusion of the fast"; and so the holiday symbolizes the celebration of the conclusion of the month of fasting from dawn to sunset during the entire month of Ramadan (calendar month). The first day of Eid, therefore, is the first day of the month Shawwal that comes after Ramadan.
